Abandoning Your False Traditions of the Fathers

In coming unto Christ fully, we must acknowledge, repent of and abandon the false traditions we carry. Moses’s Israelites “gave heed to the traditions of their fathers and believed not the gospel of Christ.” Book of Mormon missionaries worked diligently to bring people “to the knowledge of the baseness of the traditions of their fathers, which were not correct” so that they might receive a true conversion. And so it is with all who preach the doctrine of Christ in our day. They prepare the people to understand the incorrect aspects of their people’s false traditions and histories.
